Meaningful part of this safari includes getting close to the real people who live in Africa; buying fabrics in large outdoor markets, cooking traditional dishes with natives, visiting street children where they live in the slums and see how organizations operate to help them.
The African people are a happy people and doing a safari you will see that they are ready to welcome you to their country and culture. THE SAFARI DAY BY DAY

Day 1, 4th August - Arrival Nairobi
Early morning arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. On arrival your safari driver will meet you and take you to Scripture Mission Guesthouse. After check-in you relax a bit before our day excursion to Kitengela Glass Factory, Karen Blixen Farm and Kazuri Beads Factory. Lunch in Karen Coffee Garden. Sightseeing in Nairobi city centre before you will be taken back to your guesthouse for the afternoon rest and preparations for the following morning long safari to Amboseli National Park.

Day 2, 5th August - Nairobi - Amboseli National Park
Today at 7:30 am we start our safari by driving southeast to Amboseli National Park. At Amboseli we arrive good time for lunch at AA Lodge. After lunch we have a short rest followed by 4 pm game drive in Amboseli National Park.
The park is mostly covered by swamp and its very interesting to watch elephants feeding and drinking from swamp water. Other animals likely to be seen in Amboseli are, lions, cheetah, buffalos, zebras, hyenas, wildebeest and giraffes. In the background you have African highest Mt. Kilimanjaro with its snow cup on top.

Day 3, 6th August - Full day in Amboseli National Park
Full day in Amboseli National Park with game drive before breakfast, and in the afternoon. Daytime you relax by the swimming pool in your lodge.

Day 4, 7th August - Amboseli - Flamingo Farm Kitui
We leave Amboseli at 8am and drive to Kitui with a stop on the way at Wamunyu Carvings Factory. Here we are going to have our lunch before we visit the factory to see live carvings making, We proceed and arrive in Kitui town. In this town we will have walk before we drive and check in at Flamingo Guesthouse for three nights.
Within those days we are going to meet the locals and visit some of the projects done by the Norwegian organisation; Help to Selfhelp in Africa.
We are also going to meet the children from Ivuku Primary School and plan for the summer camp together with teachers and parents.

Day 7, 10th August - Kitiu - Lake Naivasha Camp
Early in the morning we start our journey up to Fisherman’s Camp in Naivasha. The school children from Ivuku Primary School will go by bus. They are 29 children (class 5 and 6), 5 teachers and 2 cookers.
In the camp you will be having a lot of fun activities together with the children like games and sports. One of the days the group will visit Hells Gate National park to see wildlife and the special cliff and also we will do hippo-safari by boat on Lake Naivasha.

This will be a sad day. You will say bye-bye to the lovely kids and leave the camp for your flight back to Norway.
